I have to say I think I disagree with the underlying premise of a fight club. 

The guy in the video said: “Somewhere where you have an ultimate loss. Somewhere were you could be killed or maimed…having experience with that builds courage.” 

I disagree with that. He’s fundamentally conflating overcoming fear of physical injury with overcoming fear of the unknown. Courage is about acting justly without wisdom or foresight of the consequences
you choose to save a person’s life because it’s the right thing to do, even though you don’t know what sort of risk you might be subjecting yourself to. On the other hand, fighting another man for no purpose other than to fight, is knowingly putting yourself at risk of serious physical injury for no cause, which is an act of barbarism.
