Facebook mobile fail
Just used facebook mobile for the first time. When I click “older posts,” facebook loads posts that are already displayed. It’s pathetic this issue hasn’t been resolved yet; should be a quick fix.

Why the claim "the Web undermines reading" is bunk
This note is in response to Darryl Jonckheer’s post “Does the Web Undermine Reading”. I’ll be publishing a blog and portfolio in the spring and plan to critically address this topic. For now, here are a few cursory thoughts: “I’ve been reading posts like this all over the Web [e.g. Does the Web undermine reading?], but none of the authors seem to take the time to...

My thoughts on the new LinkedIn User Interface
I was immediately struck by the breathing room. Pages no longer feel as cluttered and claustrophobic. The white space is very welcome. I don’t believe LinkedIn “broke” the navigation. It’s very conventional and only took me 30 seconds to figure out “new routes” to my routinely visited information. I’m disappointed the “build your network”...

The Rhetorical Nature of Interaction Design →
A designer does not simply create an object. The importance of understanding the long term dialogue that occurs with a product focuses around the cultural methods of use and misuse that a person engages in with this object. Indeed, long term dialogue may be exponentially more important than short term usability. Consider a teddy bear. The bear becomes worn, loved, the nose bitten off, the seams...
